Badminton Training Update

Who loves BADMINTON? I know I DO!

For the past month I have been actively participating in Badminton Club trainings after school! This means that I have been on schedule with CAS (YAY!) for I have planned to join the club and have been, and still am, committing to it from the start of the school year.

Here are the five primary reasons why I decided to take part in badminton trainings and use it as a CAS activity:

1. Since I joined my new school half a year ago, I began playing badminton as an extra curricular activity as it has always been my favourite sport! I continue doing this to develop new skills as well as to improve my current ones.

2. I believe it will be a purposeful activity for I will have to dedicate time for weekly trainings and this will thus challenge my time management skills - as I shall have to balance both homework time, family time and badminton training!

3. There will definitely be several significant outcomes: badminton training will increase my SPEED, AGILITY and my STAMINA among others.

4. I will learn to work more collaboratively with many players during singles and double matches and I could also help to improve their skills individually by giving them advice. Additionally, I am the eldest student in the club which makes me even more aware to be a role model for all the younger students.

5. Most importantly, I will hopefully accomplish most of the Learning Outcomes① ② ④ ⑤ ⑥ ⑦  and  throughout the course of the school year as I play continuously.

One VS One

Little me - happy as can be!

I contacted my previous badminton coach and asked if it was possible for a senior to join the after school clubs and he said it most certainly possible (in German)! Herr Schneider will therefore be my supervisor in this activity.

So far I have truly enjoyed every one-and-a-half hour training on Wednesdays after school!

My Reflection Post shall come soon so stay tuned!
